Küsterer Munich Dunkel

This is the style that made Munich famous as the world’s beer capital as the city’s brewers “cleaned up” their traditional brown beers by lagering them with cold-fermenting yeast. Rich and malty, this dark lager remains drinkable and refreshing and is the perfect libation for a cozy beer hall.

Christoph Küsterer

Christoph Küsterer was the original German brewer in the Grand River Valley and Kent County. Arriving around 1844, his family’s brewing history lasted nearly a century. We’re proud to pay tribute to his legacy as the region’s first craft brewery focused on German styles. Our Küsterer Biers are brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law) and contain only water, malt, hops and yeast.
