THANK YOU to all our friend and supporters who voted in WZZM 13’s online poll for “Best Brewery in West Michigan!”
While this is certainly not a true measure of anything other than local support, it has been wonderful to see the Cedar Springs community and friends turn out over the past two weeks, through two rounds of voting, as we’ve asked for your support via club members, newsletter, email, on social media and all of you who visited us personally.
To you all, we say: “Danke!”
Our community is blessed with so many outstanding brewers, including, but not limited to, the final four with our friends at Pigeon Hill Brewing Company in Muskegon, Fetch Brewing Company in Whitehall, and Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids. We encourage you to visit each of the four finalists to see what they’re all about.
We are blessed and humbled to be in the conversation
Join us on our First Annual Cedar Springs Community Pub Crawl as we visit each of our local watering holes to celebrate “Small Business Saturday” and kick off our shopping season.
We will be pouring a different beer at EACH of our neighboring hospitality establishments and invite you to visit each of them – either again or for the first time. Beers are tapped at 5 p.m.
Please enjoy responsibly and be sure to designate a driver!
He and wife Dyana, a native of New Zealand, are the owners of Roundabout Brewing in Pittsburgh, PA, and he’s joined our own Matt Peterson to create “Yinzers Roundabout IPA,” brewed with kiwi hops. It’s our first collaboration brew, and part of our Opening Day lineup.
We’ll see you all on November 13th or soon thereafter for your opportunity to give it a try!
Thank you to the Cedar Springs community for stopping by today!
We hope everyone enjoyed the “sneak peek.” There’s much more to come and we look forward to the Grand Opening!
We will post further information as we know it, but we hope to have the doors fully open in the next 4-5 weeks.

The CS Brewing team of Head Brewer Matt Peterson and Dave Ringler visits 12-time World Beer Cup winner and 16th generation Weißbier brewer, Michael Plank, this past fall at his home in Laaber, Bavaria, just west of Regensburg. Michael has owned the brewery since he was 21 and is a 12-time World Beer Cup Award winner, including “Brewery of the Year” awards in 2006 and 2012.
Salzburger Style-Märzen is the most famous product of one of the world’s great Biergartens, Augustiner Braustüberl Mülln. Air cooled, fermented in open vessels and served since the 17th Century from cask conditioned wood kegs, this version of a Vienna or Märzen lager is soft, with a malty sweet body and a hoppy spiciness. Head brewer Matt Peterson and Dave Ringler paid their brewmaster, Johannes Höplinger, a visit earlier this year for a little quality control.
What you see above are just a few of the many renderings of what we have in store for you at Cedar Springs Brewing Company. As we progress throughout the construction of our new home please keep your eyes on our site and make sure to follow us so you can see how things are coming along. We also would like to encourage everyone to join our mailing list to get the latest offerings and updates.
