CSBrew Team visits Salzburg, Austria

Salzburger Style-Märzen is the most famous product of one of the world’s great Biergartens, Augustiner Braustüberl Mülln. Air cooled, fermented in open vessels and served since the 17th Century from cask conditioned wood kegs, this version of a Vienna or Märzen lager is soft, with a malty sweet body and a hoppy spiciness. Head brewer Matt Peterson and Dave Ringler paid their brewmaster, Johannes Höplinger, a visit earlier this year for a little quality control.
